A full-service regional brokerage and investment banking firm was experiencing tremendous
growth and needed a custom application development solution that integrated the
functionality within two disparate sales systems. This client, based in St. Louis,
Missouri, provides securities brokerage, investment banking, trading, investment
advisory, and related financial services.
Solution
Secure Data worked with project stakeholders to define the skill matrix needed on
this time-sensitive project. Once the team roles were identified, we pulled together
the resources to start the project. The project called for a combination of .NET
architecture and design work, SQL Server design and performance tuning, and rapid
application development methods to quickly capture, develop, test, and repeat this
process to ensure the successful delivery of the application.
Results
In the process of a competitor acquisition, our client utilized our solution to
integrate system functionality into one easy-to-use and reliable application. The
delivery of this application was time sensitive, and there was no room for vague
requirements or missed delivery dates. Currently, the new application eases software
maintenance and serves as a platform for ongoing enhancements and derivative applications.
