U.S. Air Force Leave Request, Tracking, and Accounting system
Secure Data Inc. has been the prime contractor for Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force
Base, for several years in development and management of numerous financial systems. One project is the
Air Force Leave Request and Tracking System called “LeaveWeb”.
LeaveWeb is an automated Military Leave Request and Tracking System, designed and managed by
Secure Data at 79 Air Force Bases with 600,000 plus users and annual processing of leave transactions
exceeding 2 Million per year directly into DJMS. LeaveWeb provides an automated, web-based solution
for Air Force military members to process leave requests. LeaveWeb provides Air Force military
personnel worldwide with a flexible system capable of automating the request and approval of
military leave. The intent was to develop a high-speed, scalable, integrated and open system
architecture that will automate the process used to request and approve military leave at each
installation across the Air Force. The LeaveWeb System also creates data, which is used to prepare
transactions that update the Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS).
LeaveWeb is a fully, automated, paperless system that interfaces and adjusts for rejects, recycles,
and other anomalies that DJMS produces. LeaveWeb’s success is well known by senior leadership throughout
the Air Force and is being portrayed as the best financial system released in years. The need to
automate military leave processing using a Web-based solution is a novel approach saving countless
man-hours. The concept of processing military leaves using web technology has provided a simple and
cost-effective solution to the current paper/manpower-intensive process saving over 30 million
dollars per year.
